Question about Washing Machines

Top Load Washer

Our washer shakes uncontrollably no matter what size load is in it. I have leveled it several times but it really does not seem to help. It dances all over the place. My wife sits on it at times to keep it in place. Leg leveling system system seems to be a very poor design. any answers?

Re: Top Load Washer

Is the unit new??If so,is the shipping strap removed?Could have lost a spring that holds the drum to the frame.

Our washer vibrates and the tub is off center. We reload the clothes outit still shakes

It sounds to me as if the spider has broken - common on some machines! its a 3 legged device that fixes the drum to the bearings made from aluminium and it rotts! Hotpoint machines it was a 30 part but others it not economical to fix

Severe shaking when spinning out

it could be you have to heavy a load or you do not have the washer level. Most washers have screw out feet that can be adjusted to keep them from shaking so violently the best thing to do is set a lever in different positions and directions on the top and level it completely and see if that does not fix your problem.

Sounds like one of the internal suspension/dampening units for the drum unit has broken or become unattached. Am not certain what this machine has but removal of top and rear cover should allow you to inspect the items and arrange replacement as required.

My washer keeps giving a unbalanced load no matter the size load and even when it don't seem load is unbalanced.

Perhaps the washer isn't sitting level? Use a carpenter's level on the top surface and make sure the machine is sitting level. Next screw down the feet as necessary to maintain a level washer. In some cases, the "solenoid" is out which is servicable by a repairman. Not an expensive fix by the way, but not easy for the uninitiated among us.

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

My Kenmore 80 series washer shakes uncontrollably in spin cycle.

try this
the washer needs to be leveled on a flat surface to properly function rock forwards then backwards
washing machine have stablizers on there leg pegs this insures it has a proper setting on floor
if this did not help there is a spring under neith that you did not load back to bucket to keep in place
most likely it just needs to be rocked you will know if pegs are seated properly
