Problems installing Belkin Wireless adaptor F5D7050 drivers

Im trying to install my belkin wireless adaptor on my laptop but the driver does not want to install as it is giving me a code 10 error and says that the service name or service display name is already in use.

Iv been using the adaptor on my desktop for some time now and it works fine.
i have downloaded different drivers for the device but none of them work.

I haven't used the install program that comes with the driver cd as belkins wireless utility is just a mess.

The driver i have at the driver i am using now is the same one that i have on my desktop.

Hopefully someone can help please

[Other] F5D7050 Driver Fix

This post is in response to error code 10 issues in xp sp2 that people have been having with this device when the original driver cd is lost and drivers from belkins site are the only option, which do not work. You need to get the Ralink Drivers off their site, for this device, the rt2500 chipset, and install their program. Driver folder will now be located in the install directory for Ralink, copy this folder and paste it to your desktop. Now, uninstall the ralink program. Restart and then find the VID and PID for your belkin product (in device manager), open up driver folder and modify rt2500.inf file and put proper VID and PID's in. now plug in and install from a specific location, and choose the rt2500.inf file you just modified, that should do it!

Re: Problems installing Belkin Wireless adaptor F5D7050...

Problem 1:

Sounds like a conflict issue, try unplugging or disabling everything else on the pc before trying again

problem 3:

Sounds like your motherboard needs a driver update, search the net for an updated driver and see how you get on

Well, I would recommend you to install the version 2 of the driver that can be downloaded from the below link:

I believe this would help resolve the issue.

Connection problems

2. On the top right corner, there will be a search by keyword, a small rectangular blue box
3. In that, type in: F5D7050 and press enter
4. It will give you search results, select the result that says "Drivers".
5. Select the appropriate version for your model. Belkin has 5 versions for the same model. Check for FCC no. on your device. There would be a table on that web page.
6. Verify, download and install

Hi I have a belkin wireless G network adaptor. My trouble is that i lose signal. My router is only at best 30 ft away.I have to click repair when this happens. Any ideas?

Typically these devices come with software that not only installs the drivers, but also installs some software that takes over the role of connecting to the network. In my experience, this belkin software fights with the default windows wireless networking function. Windows will connect and then the belkin software will try to connect and it disconnects the windows connection. I found that not using the manufacturers software and sticking with the Windows default works best. Simply disable the belkin software and remove if from Start>Programs>Startup. If the drivers are all installed properly then Windows should automatically connect.

If this doesnt solve it let me know.

Drivers won't install

Two possibilites here
1. the driver CD is corrupt , though belkin is a plug n play adapter, there is no need to install the cd
2. Since you getting an excalmation suggests , windows recoganises the new hardware but fails to install.
The best option is either change the manufacturer of the adapter or reinstall windows , it should fix your problem
