Question about Epson Stylus CX5400 All-In-One InkJet Printer

CX 5400 will not work at all


Green light is on steady as is the error light - dialog says printer error - call repair and they somehow determined its a hardware problem and not worth repairing ($70). CX 5400 Did use a bootleg Office Depot ink cartridge. How can I clean the heads? Or what can be done?

    Still remains in the same condition.

    Thanks ever so much for your effort - did everything you recommended and more. When I trouble shooted the Epson reply was that equipment had 'expired' - when I phoned Epson they told me it's not worth fixing as I can buy a new one and that it's likely a hardware problem.

Cx 4800 not printing quality colors


Are you using Epson Genunie Cartridges?

Hello, In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. That sounds like your problem. Also in Purchasing the Brother's . Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, etc. These printers have a chip, that will detect if it is Generic or Genunie. When using Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

That's what the Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, but you have to fill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for the PRINTERS.

Epson stylus 960 photo printer won't print clearly despite multiple deep cleanings should i replace it, take it to service center ( cost?), or have my techie spouse clean it up somehow?

My photo doesn't match printout. the print actually is green.

Epson CX 5400 won't recognize off brand magenta cartridge


Yes replace the possibly faulty cartridge as some just don't work. If you take it back to where you bought it from they may replace it with annother one free of charge?

Scaner Epson CX-5400 error message


What is the error message? SCANNER ERROR?
If that is what you getting, turn printer off then open scanner cover- on the left hand side there is a toggle log for scanner, position it to unlock then turn printer on then try scanning/copying again.

if your having a different error message pls indicate the exact error that you are getting.
