Question about Frigidaire 14 Cycle Tumble Action Washer
Tub does not turn over, when machine is accessed from the back the tumble action attemps but does not complete. Whene helped it will tumble. It acts as though the motor has lost power enough to tune the tub. There is a sound in the motor that does not sound smoth, but rough or as gravel maybe. The motor will try to turn clockwise and when it cannot it will attempt to turn counter-clockwise and when it cannot it will stop trying. If tub is turned manually motor continues to turn in that direction but when manual help stops the motor slows and stops trying to turn.
Because of the grinding noise your talking about it sounds like the motor bearings are bad which would require motor replacement. but, thats normally not what cause the " not completly turning problem" your having. general thats cause be the motor speed control not sending the proper power to the motor. remove the belt and turn the motor by itself to see if the noise is really come from the motor and not the back of the tub. if it is the motor, replace the motor. if it coming from the back of the tub the replace the motor speed control. the noise coming from the back of the tub would just be the ball bearings and they do make some noise on this model but you wont hear it when the washer is running
