Duplex printing prints back side upside down!

Hi there, I have a canon ip4600 printer and am running windows vista and i have printed many double sided things without an issue. When I downloaded a windows brochure template, the screen shots are perfect but when it comes to the printing, the back side is upside down... i have even tried cutting and pasting the segments of the template to a completely new word document but still it prints the back side upside down. what am I doing wrong??
