SOURCE: Panasonic DMR- EA18 DVD player/recorder - Remote control Problem

I figured out, unlike all the other posts, you don't have an enter button. But Instead, you would hit the 2 and OK button at the same time for a few seconds. I had the RC1 message and I did the 1 with OK and it worked. so if you have RC2, you should hit the 2 and OK. Should work!!

SOURCE: Panasonic dvd/vhs player/recorder will not

I have the same problem and I can offer a solution only to get your disk back but not the error code thing. unplug the unit and all video/audio cords. Remove the 3 screws in the back and 2 along each side. Remove top. Remove3 screws holding DVD player in place. Remove and turn over DVD Player. See the motor in the bottom near the ejection door, under the sheet metal with the lopsided "Keyhole" in it. Just to the rear of that there is a piece of plastic (mine is white) with a tab and some tracks in it. in a moment you will apply pressure to the tab will slide it to the right. (if the ejection door is nearest to you and the pcboard attached to the bottom of the DVD player is furthest from you.) But before you do this you may want to turn the DVD player correct side up. This will alloy gravity to hold the disk in the tray when the tray is ejected. Now you can slide the tab to the right (or left if the DVD player is correct side up) Use some force on the tab. you are attempting to ramp up the speed on the ejection motor and still have some momentum built up after you reach the end of travel for the tab. If you have done every thing I have instructed then the ejection door should have opened and the tray should be partially exposed. Simply gently pull on the tray and then remove your disk. Now if you flip the DVD player back over, plug in the power cord, and hit the little "Reset" button, after a few moments the DVD will retract the tray. At this point unplug the power and reassembly the machine in reverse order as disassembly. Or simply throw the unit out because according to other posts on this and other sights, if you are getting the F60 or U99 error codes then it would appear that you have a bad Video board which is no longer available.... anyway I may have saved you $139.00 (At Panasonic) to extract your $20.00 video.

SOURCE: Fault F04

F04 is "loading lock". most likely problem is that the timing of the gears in the tape loading mechanism is mis-timed.

SOURCE: panasonic dmr-es46v player recorder error code u61

Hi,

That error means: There was a power failure or the AC plug was disconnected while the unit was on. The unit is carrying out its recovery process. This process restores the unit to normal operation. The unit is not broken. Wait until the message disappears.

I suggest you unplug all the cords o the unit and after 2hrs replug and see if the error is gone.

Let me know the result.

Thank you for using fixya.

PANASONIC DVD/VCR PLAYER/RECORDER DMR-EZ 48V SHOWING ERROR CODE F04 PLZ HELP ME

You seem to have a K-mech model. If this is the case f04 means that the mechanism locks unloading. The cause being something to do with the loading motor.

I HAVE A PANASONIC DVD,VHS RECORDER MODEL #DMR-EZ48V.WHEN TRANSFER A VHS CASSETTE TO A DVD THE THUMNAILS ON THE DVD HAVE THE DATE OF 1/1/2000. HOW CAN I PUT THE ACTUAL DATE OF THE RECORDINGS ON EACH OF THE...

Try setting the clock on the remote press [FUNCTIONS] go to SETUP menu - locate the CLOCK option (it should be under 'OTHERS' in the setup) and set the current time, press [ENTER/OK] to store if necessary, then press [RETURN] to exit the setup. Once clock is set correctly, future DVD thumbnails will show the actual date/time of recording in this (and similar) model combo units. If auto clock setting is not possible, set it manually as above.

I assume in spite of the wrong date/time, your DVD recordings have been successful. Incorrect clock and date setting usually only affects timer recording for VHS.

If you have lost or misplaced your original owner's manual, you can download a free pdf version (for Region 1 model) from:

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-electronics/support/Video/DVD-Recorders-Players/DVD-Recorders/model.DMR-EZ48VK

or, if you live outside USA, download the 'Australia/NZ' pdf version of the manual (for Region 4 model) from:

http://www.panasonic.com.au/Products/DVD+and+Blu-ray/DVD+-+Players+and+Recorders/DMR-EZ48V/Downloads

either one of these will provide you a full copy of the original user guide/setup including clock.

All free. Hope these suggestions help.
