Hi, if all the fuses are ok and you have no indicator lights at all then the problem is going to be the indicator relay this is either located in the fuse box or under the dashboard it is what you hear clicking when the indicators are working ok now they put them in different places on all cars some makes its in the fuse others it under neath the dashboard usually behind the cowling covering steering coloumn if you purchase one first you will then know what you are looking for they just push in and pull out so are easy to replace.
If you ask them at the place you buy it from they should be able to give you a good idea where this is located.
It looks like a square box about the size of a match box they are different colors once you have replaced this you should have all the lights working.
Hope this is some help tp you let me know if you need further assistance ok

I'd be checking the fuses first. The turn signal flasher should be in the inside fuse panel.

Turn single lights don't turn on

try the hazard flashers if they work then the fuse is good, check the lights with the hazard flashers working.if they are all working then its should be the signal flasher that is bad.its located at the fuse panel and is round in shape.make sure you replace the signal flasher and not the hazard one.with the hazards on you can tell which one is the signal flasher as it will not make any noise they look the same and people tend to replace the wrong one.

Turn signals not working; bulbs ok; emergency flasher DOES work

First check fuse. If ok be aware the emergency flashers are on its own side of a electronic flasher. Turn signals have their own circuit on either a seperate flasher or the other side of an electronic flasher. One side may work & not the other.

96 ford tarus turn signal

The turn signals and the emergency flasher are controled by a single electronic flasher unit. It looks like an electronic relay and is located on the far left underside of the dash. It is on a mounting bracket and has a three wire connector. If you do not hear this clicking when you use the turn signals or the emergency flasher it may be bad. Just remove the connector and remove the one screw holding the flasher to the bracket. Be sure the replacement is identical to the old one and compare them before installing the new one.

You may want to also check the turn signal bulbs also. Other causes would be bad signal and flasher switches, bad bulb connectors, and opens or shorts in the wiring.

Turn signals wont work but flashers do

Hi.
On your 98 Dakota.
Is equipaded with a single Flasher.
If you replace all ready.
Check the FUSE # 10, 15 amp..
On the Fuse box. left side of Dash.
and the FUSE D 25, amp. On engine compartment Fuse box.
Check the proper funtion of the HAZARD switch.
Bacause if the Hazard switch is bad the turn signal don't will work. Match the OLD flasher with the New one.

If after of this still not work.
Remove the steering wheel cover, locate the Turn signal switch connector and with a TEST Light check power with the Key ON
12v. to the RED wire and PINK wire..
If you found 12v. check the connection with the switch.
If the connection is good. you will need to replace the turn signal switch.
But if you don't found 12v. You need to look a an open circuit.
And fix it..

I hope this help on your problem..
Thank you for use fixya...
