SOURCE: Blinking power button

You likely have bad convergence output IC's that have caused one of the supply fuses to blow. This repair will have to be performed by a qualified technician. If you were in our area and has us repair this the total cost of the repair would be about $340 if I am correct about the cause of your problem.

SOURCE: No Power to my TV after power outage

Last night, my Panasonic television went off due to a partial electrical power outage that affected my house. After the power was restored, the TV would not come on. The electrical outlet being used is good. I was looking at the parts list for the TV at Panasonic website and saw a fuse (6.3A-125V) listed. Maybe an electrical surge last night burnt this internal fuse out and that is the only thing I will need to replace. I wonder if this was the fuse that Leen14 was referring to in the original post that checked out good. Any additional information will be greatly appreciated!

SOURCE: ILO 2706 TV WONT TURN ON

This TV might have been affected by the power outage even if it was not ON at that moment. There is a standby voltage still present even when OFF and connected to the AC line.
There might be different failures on this TV:
1. The power supply might be defective after the power outage.
2. The main board could also be defective since the power supplies for today's TVs are not well regulated and once the voltage getting to the power supply increases, the standby voltage voltage will also increase damaging voltage sensitive components like the microprocessor or memory circuitry.

Let me know if you require further assistance.

Replace the adaptive defrost control part number 240375803. About $100.00.

It is located in the fresh food section on the top left side behind the plastic panel.

My oven is about 10-15 years old and I cannot reset the clock after the power has been disconnected.

Hello. I need the model number to help you accurately and provide part numbers for your particular unit. Was the power turned off by you or was it a power outage(caused by lightning, construction, etc). If the power went out due to an outage, the main board might very well have been damaged. Power interruptions are notorious for blowing out or damaging circuit boards in ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, dryers...the list is almost endless. Normally, the power going out doesn't do the damage--it's the restoring of the power(and the accompanying current surge) that is the culprit. If a board has been damaged by a current surge, if it wasn't knocked out completely immediately, 3-4 weeks after the event is the usual time when symptoms start appearing--caused by weakened electronic chips on the circuit boards starting to fail.

My Toshiba Theaterview turns on with sound, but no picture.

A model number is needed to assist you but a general answer is:

Likely damage is in power or standby power supply the set uses.

A visual look in that area might tell you what is bad---follow power cord inside to the power board where it goes directly.

I had a power outage a couple nights ago, which has caused my television to not turn on. It is a Toshiba model CZ27T31, which was off & plugged into a surge protector at the time the storm knocked the...

Please check if your surge protector is working properly now. There is possibility that the surge protector is blown off due to high voltage surge. Check if your surge protector has a reset switch which some of the surge protectors have. If the problem still persists then you have to call the technician to replace the safety fuse which is inside the TV. The cost will not be much. I will personally recommend that you change your TV as it has outlived its life being 10 yrs old.

I HAD A POWER OUTAGE AND NOW MY MAGNAVOX DVD WON'T TURN ON, PLEASE AND THANKS

Unplug it for about 10 minutes. Plug it back in and see if that helps. If not then there must have been a power surge when power was restored in your home.

Depending on make and model sounds like a check valve clicking. It can sound like it is coming from that area. You say your unit is 16 years old. Honeywell did servey on unit 10 years and older and found out they loose 25% effeicency after 10 years. You may think about changing it out. With the new tax credits you can get a 16 seer unit for the price of a 13 seer. I went from a 10 to 15 seer and my power bill dropped 40%. Rus.
