make sure all your cables are hooked up in the corresponding ports, and also make sure that you have the video/audio output cord switched to the right setting for your tv (HDTV/ regular)
I would check your video connections. If it is dark behind your TV, use a flashlight and make sure all of the audio and video connections are correct. Make sure the connections are firmly in place for your XBox and TV for the audio/video cable. Also, be sure to be on the right video setting on your TV (Video 1, Video 2, etc.).
If your Xbox 360 does not have display you need to stop the heat getting to the chips. You can actually do this yourself as many have in this forum using the recommended Xbox 360 Repair guide.
Basically the guide will show you how to stop the heat build up with videos and household items, of course if you are in doubt send it in.
Not sure what you are talking about, this is a bit vague..... try this, on the back of the xbox there is a switch on the plug that goes to the TV, if the TV is not HI-DEF and you are using just the red + white + yellow plugs, then switch to TV, if your using the red + white + blue + green + red then switch to HDTV. Your Son could have also switched a setting on the dashboard to use HI-DEF, if he did, maybe switching back the TV mode on the TV out plug may correct the issue. Kids love to play with things! lol...
Im presuming you have check all the cables settings...
and still just audio , It requires that the G.P.U. be Preheated
and seated ( clamp down) and then Burn in A.K.A. x clamp mod.
the dead video problem needs a little more then the regular
x clamp mod , so make sure who ever dose it has a good success rate .
