Ok after having a repair man come and do nothing, he looked at it like it was a ufo LOL for anyone owning a front load washer if it does everything buy spin, CHANGE DOOR LOCK after 4 days that was the problem with mine . and very simple to change

I might add that being a new washer the tech guy did not know anything and told me He would have to wait to call head company, If any one has this problem TELL the repair man that under the lid on top is a paper for them to test it!!

Check the lid switch,it is prob. a magnetic kind, for some reason lint wraps up on it and pulls the wires,it can be bypassed only for time to check its operation,
Do Not leave switch bypassed as this is a safety issue.

How do I take the whirlpool washer cabnet off?

Earlier whirlpool tubs had 4 screws under rubber plugs that unfortunately rusted if you manage to get them out then the complete top lifts of the base section
later models just prise apart as they have eliminated the screws
there are manuals on line to download

Frigidaire Gallery washer won't produce final high spin

Hey friend, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire washer, FWT449GFS2 is not entering the final high spin cycle. It is possible that you could have a defective motor or timer. Since it could be any one of these underlying issues I would recommend you having a professional come out to the home for the repair of your washer. -Matt

you have a broken coupler...this is a plastic and rubber part that connects the motor to the transmission.  A $20 part

How good are you and your tools?

Jammed agitator

Some further checking indicated a bad transmission. As the unit is 15 years old, I decided the best solution was a new machine! ..
