Some models allow you to set photo copy or import method to "optimized". This will compress the photos as they are copied to the frame and allow you to fit more on it. But in order to use this feature, you must copy from a memory card or USB drive, not a PC. A PC will override the copy mode.

It depends on the file size of the picture you are taking. Every picture takes up a different amount of space. Also, if you are using a camera with a high mega pixel you may want to tone it down for pictures you want to put in your photo frame. You will not be able to tell the difference on the photo frame. So there really is no set number of pictures it will hold. It will hold basically 1GB of information or very close to. You could upload one of your pictures onto your computer and see how much space it takes up to give you an idea.

You could try removing the memory card to a card reader which inserts directly into you computer and download the picture from there.

Can't upload pictures from camera anymore

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How do i download photos onto a usb

Not sure what the problem is here, but if the laptop recognises the USB drive and it is formatted as a FAT device, you should see the device icon in "My computer". If you are downloading from your hard drive to the device, simply highlighting all the files by SHIFT and RIGHT mouseclick and dragging them onto the device will copy them.
If downloading from the internet, right mouse click and save target or picture as and point to the USB device as the place to save to
