If the ignitor is working properly, the problem most likely lies with the gas valve coils. They are located just above the gas valves. These solenoids, when energized, open the gas valves and allow the burner to light. Since these solenoids are hard to test, if any are suspected of being faulty, it is best to replace both (all) of them at the same time. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Ignitor glows but short cycles
Ignitors don't "blow flames". But a defective ignitor can glow but not draw enough current to allow the gas valve to open to the burners.
Replace the ignitor. It's the "weakest link" and most likely part to wear out through use in the ignition system.

Why wont my dryer heat up
Check the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it) It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off. If the ignitor does not glow then it or the thermostat is bad. If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the flame sensor may have to be replaced. If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

If everything above is OK then the thermostat2.gif or the auto sensor is not working correctly.
