not seeing the internet. We have a sattelite internet system and the modem works great. I am wired into it now andhave internet no problem. But when I run the "EASY" installation of the wireless router, it takes us through all the steps up to the point where it tries to find the internet...that is where the problem starts. It simply does not recognize the internet although the modem is clearly hooked up to the internet

If you are having difficulties accessing the Internet, you need to do MAC Cloning.
Disconnect your computer from the modem first and plug it to port 1 on the back of the router. Access the router's admin page by typing http://192.168.1.1 on your Internet Explorer. When you get to the router's setup page, look for the MAC Cloning option. Click on Clone MAC Address button. Do this from the computer which the modem was directly connected the last time. This will place the MAC address of your computer into the router. Save settings then turn off the router.
Now connect your modem to the WAN/Internet port of the router. You connection should be: PC to port 1, Modem to WAN/Internet port. Reboot the router and reboot your cable modem as well.
You should be able to go online after that.
