Question about Bissell 1770 Quicksteamer II Upright Vacuum
Here's a kinda kick yourself quick fix that might be helpful, I took my whole machine apart all the way to the motor to come to realize that the small rubber piece that cover the tip of the water container was jammed in the hole you slip the water tank in. Blocking the tip of the water tank from releasing water, so make sure your rubber tip on the water tank is securely in place displacement can block water release. ( If you don't see a rubber piece at the tip of your removable water tank its mostly stuck in the area below the tanks resting area.) Good luck!!!

The problem is that after used you have to run clear water through it. the reason is that once you put it away there is still soap inside the tubes. after some time the soap gets hard and clogs it. in the case of the machines that have the heat the heater is also full of hard soap.

Put CLEAN WATER IN IT AND RUN IT DRY--for soap scum I may say use VINAGAR water but most units say use nothig but their product (solutuion)--I have used Fabuloso--and Pine SOL--which was only a copuple times and doubt that this DILUTED down products would have ruind the unit..even bleach water--may at worst would wear/disslove.. on the rubber seals--and thats where you have your sucktion PROBS-just a guess---
