AMD Athlon 64x2 brisbane 2.9 ghz fans too loud now WHAT TO DO!!!

I'd go with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64. I have one on my SLI comp with two vid cards and the Freezer. With smart fan software they are all really quiet. Just make sure you have room for it in your 'puter, and you select the right one (they have one for intel)
It's HUGE....

They also make a low profile but not familiar with it.

Hai, So you are so sticked towards AMD... If u r expecting for Games then good,for good reliable performance in Applications+Games i recommend Intel rather than AMD.Usually the heat production by AMD causes a lot problem but less in Intel.  Nvidia Geforce 8400GT its good. U can also go for 8800GT some what having similar chip that uses in 9 series.

If you have no heating problems,and you used good cooling paste ,for resplace the CPU ,only loud problems, you can leave the original copper core cooling fan.first reset the pc, when you see the Welcome window of the motherboard (ASUS FOXCOMM, BIOSTAR ECT) click delete repeatedly, you will enter the bios setup, very carefully,only looking for (cool and quiet) and check this, you can also need to check the CPU temperature ,,normal is 35 C to 45 C ,(if the temperature is over 50 C,reistall the CPU and used new cooler paste) ,then you give scape. save the changes and restart the PC, now the motherboard fan speed controlled, as required, only spun faster when you really need to cool the prossesador, such as a very graphical game ect, really going to notice a big change cpu fan sound, if that cool and quiet and had been activated o this is a factory PC like DELL ,ACER ,ect ,and have no change, you can buy a new cpu fan on e-bay very cheap,like factory amd 64x2 6000 cpu fan and for no will have more trouble
