I have this same model, same issue. Model # is DU1048XTPQ4
SN 2708474. I pulled this out, there was stuff in the impeller/chopper (wire and a small piece of glass). Could not figure out how to get the motor loose from the sump, so I cleaned it out the food grinding area and confirmed that the motor and blade would turn to see if the shaft would turn. Resistance was asymmetric between the center tap of the drive motor to the outer connectors (5 ohm from center to one side, 9 ohms from center tap to other side). Motor start capacitor checks out fine on DVM (26 uF). Drain motor works ok, but main
motor hums and I can feel vibrations when I touch the frame.
I am guessing that I am going to have to pull the sump again
and pull the main motor completely out (at least now I don't think I need to pull it out from under the counter..). Any suggestions? Also, is their anyplace to pull the Whirlpool tech
sheet for this? I don't seem to have one on my dishwasher (I did not look under the insulation blanket however).

My Whirlpool dishwasher GU2400XTP fills with water and pumps out properly but does not wash. The pump hums during wash cycle

is there food particles clogging the water intake for the pump or it could be that the motor is seized from bad seals if that is the case then you may want to see if you can get a new pump motor

Starts but will not go into wash cycle

My solution to this problem was to simply unplug the power from the wall for a few seconds...plug back in, try to cycle again and the wash cycle starts fine now. May have been caught in a cycle loop or something. Any way this solution worked for me hope it works for someone else.

My dishwasher starts fills water and never starts wash cycle?

If you hear a hum when it should be washing, the motor has seized. Replace motor. If it fills with water and stops quite, run it through a test using the tech sheet under the bottom panel to access. These dishwasher have had issues with the motor.

Sounds like you have something in the sump/motor. I could lead you through it on a chat session but too much just to type. Let me know if you would like me to do so.
