Turn off the predictive text for E250

Hi there, im having some diffiuclty on how to turn off the predictive text for my samsung E250, it doesnt say on the manual. thanks

It is the same key as to change case. If you press it repeatedly, it'll cycle through various options in the top right of the screen:
initial caps with predictive,
all caps predictive,
lower case predictive,
numbers,
initial caps without predictive,
all caps without predictive,
lower case without predictive.

When T9 is not displayed, predictive text is off.

Just to spice things up, Samsung's idiotic software designers made it so that depending on the situation you're inputting text, the order that things cycle through is different, so you can't just press it a certain number of times to turn it off, you have to pay attention to the icon in the top right.

    Btw, this solution is for the D900, as it's posted in the D900 area. I hope it will be the same for your E250.

Hold down the button with the hash on it, press this until you see ABC (for caps) or acb (for lower case)

    I held the star button down to switch it off

You dont press the lower and uper case to change t9 you hold it down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes.

All Samsungs have predictive text. It's t9 and will be found in message settings.

mesages and long press # as to change the pred. text please also look at your right hand corner of your cell you will see abc_ dont stop till you se abc with no line following text

When typing out text message on my SGH-U600 when i get to the 3rd word it freezes and resets with the please wait command, then reboots itself, Im lost :(


hi had same problem, one solution is to take off the predictive text. go to write a text and b4 putting text on page, press options, no 7 input method and take off predictive text (Tab), you then have to text the other way which takes longer but at least can use phone, hope this helps

finnally i got it , the link above is the users guide , and on page 30 is shows - hold the * (star button) to switch between T9 and normal text . hope that helps out .

open messages->new message->'options' or 'more'->dictionary->off.

when on predictive text if you want to change a word just click the "0" button (one with the Cross sign) this will cycle though the different words for you
