Re: green tinge

I have the same problem. My monitor is a Flat Panel Sceptre which I have owned around a year and I am running Windows Vista Home Basic.

Re: green tinge

How long have you had this monitor? Is it a flat panel or CRT? Who is the manufacturer? what type of PC are you using? What type of OS are you running? I can try to answer your question if you answer these?

Crt monitor gradually develops a yellow tinge after being turned on for a few minutes. It fluctuates annoyingly. It is about 4 years old. It is a Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX Crt monitor.

CRT monitors have three color "guns" in them - Red, Blue, & Green. If one of them is starting to go south you will have a tinge as you describe. To make sure it's the monitor, try connecting a different monitor. If the monitor is the problem, it's not worth fixing. Replace it.
If, after changing the monitor you still have a color tinge, you have a problem with your video device in your PC and you need to have it checked out by a PC Technician.

Hi, the monitor suddenly turns a very green/yellow hue and is doing it more regularly now, it sometimes just as quickly goes back to normal. Any ideas? thanks

It can be the cable, please check all the pins at both ends and make sure they fit tightly to the connector at the monitor and at the PC, it can be the video card rpblem also so you need to try this monitor with other PC.

Pinkish hue now adjusting the green has no effect all red colors are yellow now

Check all the pins at both ends of the cable, also try it with another PC to make sure it is not the video card paroblem. Please post back the result for further help.

It seems so.

1. Change the monitor cable and see if this still happens

2. Attach this monitor to another PC and see if this still happens

If it is still happening, then yes, it seems that it is failing.
