I guess you took the picture with your phone because there isn't enough pixels to enlarge the picture for a closer look.

Taking a flying guess I would say the chimes are on the left but no guarantees...

SOURCE: what is the function of the winder on left hand side please

The crown on the left side is HELIUM VALVE and is designed for compensating and keeping the right air pressure inside watch case if it is used for diving purposes.
If you will try to set something using this crown, nothing will happen, as it has special springs, gaskets and bars built into it, but has no any connection with watch movement.

Do not forget to rate, please.

Edward Meyer 31 Day Grandfather Clock manual

I recently bought an Edward Meyer clock from Grandfather clocks for less. The clock is beautiful, but it never chimed. I even took it apart and repaired the chimes, the hammers were too far away from the chiming rods, but now that it does chime, it sounds like someone banging pots and pans together, it's horrible. I've been looking online to find replacement chime and hammer parts so I can fix it myself.

You can easily change the time of your Timex watch by following the steps below.

1. With the time and date showing, press the top left button.

2. Press the right top button (this sets seconds).

3. Press the bottom left button. This flashes the hour; press the top right button until you have the correct hour (there is no symbol for am, pm will show if pm).

4. Press the bottom left button, minutes flash. Press the top right button until correct minutes.

5. Press the bottom left button, month flashes. Press the top right button until correct.

6. Press bottom left button, date flashes. Press the top right button until correct.

7. Press bottom left button, day flashes. Press right top button until correct.

8. Press bottom left button, time format flashes (can be set to 24 hour clock). If correct, you're done. Press top left button if you're done (can be pressed at any step if you're finished).

To turn off the chime and alarm: Press bottom left until in the alarm screen. Then press the top right button repeatedly until the CHIME or CH symbol is gone and/or ALARM or ALM to disappear, then press the bottom left button to go back to main time.

Hope it helps.

Hello Rterry6517,

Yes... you are right (CLOCKSMITH / movements).

Electric movements (original (telechron chiming type))
are very much the same as SPRING DRIVEN...
(in fact... the ones I have worked ARE spring driven
(
Merely THE WINDER is ELECTRIC)).

A CLOCK repair would be the wise choice...

Some people opt for the electronic conversions...
(my opinion they are quite a bit less of the true tones
of a well maintained clock motor and REAL CHIMES.

Hope THIS HELPS...

Elgin grandfather clock chimes not working

I'm not positive about this, but I seem to recall that these type of clocks have two "silence levers" on the movement. These levers are located at the upper left and upper right corners of the movement as you face the movement from the back. The movement back panel has to be removed if it has one.

If the levers are pushed toward the chime rods, they will silence the hour or musical chime, depending on which one it is. I believe the silence levers are supposed to be moved away from the chime rods so the rods can retract and then strike the chime bars.

Timex Indiglo WR 30M

to turn off hourly chime on the times wr 30m, simply press (in any mode, i just use the regular clock mode) the start/stop button (top right hand button) once (for about half a second).
if you don't hear anything, you've turned off the hourly chime!  if you hear two short beeps, you've turned on the hourly chime.    turning the chime off/on is cyclic.  if you press once and hear nothing, it's off.  if you press again, you'll hear two beeps and the hourly chime is now on.    a lot of times that button hits my wrist (i wear it on my left hand) by accident, and that's how the chime turns on and off.  i hope this helps someone.
