I have Sony Ericsson W350 and want to replace memstick with 4Gb Sandisk M2. When I try to drop music onto memstick from laptop, it tells me the stick is not formatted.When I try to format it, it says "Format could not be completed" and around we go again.There are files on stick that came with the cellphone : CDAInfo.txt, MEMSTCK.IND, etc. Any advice ? Thank you , Jacques

- Hi. Thanks for quick response. I am just not sure what SE is short for. The laptop adapter ? By the way , the memstick works in the cellphone, but the download speed from the laptop is pathetic when I use the connecting cable. I just want to plug the stick into the laptop directly, but that is when I get problems. Thank you.

Welcome to fixya free solutions. First I'd advise you not to re-insert your mem stick again in SE before formatting. Take a nokia cell from any of your friend. fit it in Nokia set don't try to browse the mem card simply click options and format it. It will easilly format the stick and now you can use it in your SE set also. If you face any problem kindly do comment back.

- Your actual problem is your Laptop having virus. As soon as you connect your card to your laptop it tries to transfer all its worm files to your card. I'll suggest you to format it and use it on different laptop you will see the difference and kindly comment back for sorting out your laptop problem.
