Question about Kodak EasyShare Thermal Photo Printer
When I try to print I only get one half of a picture? Help
Hi, Found the described bar with the adjustment screws for the
springs. Tightened them and it seemed to move the picture over
about 1 extra centimeter of the picture. I tightened it further and screwed down the three allen wrench adjustment screws attached to the black electronic plate and got now half of the picture to print. So this is definately related to the pressure applied to the paper during the transfer of the image from the black electronic bar through the print cartridge film. I then noticed that the left plastic lever grommet (opposite side from the gears) that is used to push down the printing aparatus during printing was cracked and able to spin a bit around the metal dowel. This metal dowel has two plasting levers attached and the one without the gears seems to have had wear and tear and finally cracked. The pressure applied to the left side of the paper is now not enough due to lever being cracked. My screw tightening didn't cause this. So..... I took the dowel out by unhooking the gear side and lifting it out. I then fit the plastic lever in the dowel correctly (there is a flat part of the dowel showing the proper placement) and applied liquid nails (or super
glue would work probably) to the lever to permantnely attach it to the dowel. I'm now waiting for the glue to harden. This should
get my printer back. I sure wish you could purchase spare parts for these things and that they wouldn't make these "wearable"
parts out of plastic. Anyway.... I'll repost with my results.

I have read the above and it did not work. But what did work after thinking about it. Unscrew the 2 back screws. You have to unplug the power and usb, then plug back in after unscrewing and lifting up. Then hold the bar that goes down when printing, with your fingers. You can feel a little lift up when picture starts going back toward the front after printing color. When this happens let up on bar. Then paper will go back thru to the rear, when it starts to go thru again press back down when going thru for the next color. Do this until the picture has printed. Print all of the picture, this should be a fix at least until all paper and print cartridges are used. Then can go buy a better quality printer.
