Problems trying to play back images on my CF card

Yesterday I was trying to playback some images that I took while my family was on vacation. When I pressed the playback button a message stating "Cannot playback Image" appeared. I took the card out and reinserted it with no success. I inserted an old card and the images were played back with no problem. I inserted the CF card into my computer and the images came up so they are still on the card. Any ideas of what is going on? Is it the card or the camera?
