This is a recorder for DVD and VCR applications. Only 3 months old, the problem sems to be mechanical. When trying to reject the VCR tape, the unit will not secure (or pull back the tape into it's housing). Therefore, the VCR casette cannot be extracted from the unit.
-   i have the same problem. i dismantled the unit and found a very small compression spring. my problem is i don't know where the spring goes.-   Guest
Hi.
On the more modern vcrs this problem can be caused by several things, Faulty mode switch, Deck alignment incorrect, reel idler faulty.
I would advise if the machine is only 3mths old it will be still be under warantee so take it back to shop.

After a power outage, my samsung vcr model VR 3606 does not automatically reset the channels & add to memory. The VCR cycles thru the channels, but when finished there are no channels in the memory. The TV, digital converter box and VCR are set to channel 3. This feature has worked in the past when there are outages. I tried another VCR in its place and that reacted the same way. When I try to manually add a channel, it does the same thing, appears to add the actual channel number, but when I try to cycle thru the channels on the VCR, I only get a blue screen as if none of the actual channels are being recognized in the memory.
