My daughter and I both have Logitech webcams. Everything was working great and now all of a sudden, she can hear us just fine but we can't hear her. It shows that the mike is on. Is the problem on her end or on our end? What can we do?

Launch the Logitech QuickCam or Webcam software on your computer. Verify that you see yourself Logitech Webcam software window. Close the software window. Sign in to Skype. Click the "Tools" menu and select "Options." Click "Video Settings," check the "Enable Skype Video" and "Start my video automatically when I am in a call" boxes. Select your Logitech QuickCam from the drop-down list. Your webcam should display video in the window. Click "Audio Settings" if your QuickCam has a built-in microphone and select it from the microphone drop-down list. Check the "Let Skype adjust my audio settings" box in "Audio Settings" so Skype recognizes your microphone. Click "Save" to save the options for your audio and video settings. Skype will close the options menu.
You should be able to go from one program to another but you will need to reboot the webcam software as its not unusual for webcam software to remain hooked up to a previous program even if you exit from it correctly If the webcam is plugged into the USB just unplug it - when its not running - and wait a couple of seconds before plugging it back in If it's a built in webcam - you will have to restart your computer or navigate to Device Manager - open the Imaging folder -right click on the webcam text and disable and the enable the webcam after a couple of seconds
The advantage of having a logitech webcam is the support you have. I just launched my logitech toolbar and clicked on the lowest panel to see what help you have with your webcam in Skype - check this out
