Try several solutions on the web:
Remove keyboard. Press down on Fan assembly.
Remove battery, boot up on AC Power.
Change AC Power adapter
Booted in docking station.
Still havce blink charging light.
This should solve the problem about 100% of the time. But you might
have to press between F12 and P keys with your Palm if you move your
laptop a lot.
1. Take out the keyboard as per manual
2. Take out the 2 metal pieces underneath the keyboard.
3. Remove the HeatSink Mount Bracket. fold up some aluminum foil about 2mm thick 1cm by 1cm.
4. Put the Aluminum Foil in between Hint Sink and the mount bracket.
5. Tighten all screws tightly.
Note: You may have to press in between F12 and P keys after you have fully resembled the laptop.

Can someone give me an answer to this? I am trying to replace the mother board on a NC6000. But, there is wire connection below the pcmica slot on the mother board and i am not sure where on the system board it gets connected to. It's not a power cable for the fan.
