Unfortunately having the serial won't be of any help. To know if parts are available, you should provide make and model of your tablet. Even having this information, somteimes there is no data available on line about parts. Now, best procedure should be to take your tablet back to store where you bought it and ask for their Authorized Repair Service
I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in viewing the Desktop correctly when connecting a computer to the TV. Unfortunately, there are no such drivers available for TV to make it compatible with a computer.
Please understand that the image from a connected computer will not display in full screen because of the difference between the display resolution of the television and the available resolutions on the computer. Setting the WIDE MODE (Zoom) option on the television to Full 1 or Full 2 will stretch the image to fill more of the television screen but will not fill the entire screen. This is normal operation.
I have searched online and found that 1024 X 768 will provide better experiencing than other resolution. It is required to set the resolution in the computer before connecting it to the TV. Please install if graphic card updates available from the computer manufacturer so that it will give option to select resolution in some cases.
Thanks for understanding. Please let me know if you require any clarifications.
Unfortunately Lowrance is no longer repairing the iWay 500c model due to lack of parts. You may try calling them at (800) 324-1356 and ask if i's repairable. They may offer you an upgrade to the newer iWay 600c for a reasonable price. Well it's cheaper than a new iWay anyway...
Unfortunately there are no parts or repair manuals available outside Lowrance for any of their models.
Unfortunately that is a failure in the display electronics and is repairable only by replacing the display panel. I don't know what the warranty period is for this model, but check your purchase date and the warranty information. If the thing is just recently out of warranty maybe the manufacturer will work with you on a solution. Or you can contact them anyway and ask. Sometimes if you complain loud enough it works wonders.
The black lines are because you are playing the analog 4:3 picture on a newer 16:9 shaped screen. If you don't have the manual, you can get it by going to www.sharpusa.com and search for your tv model listed. The user guide is available in pdf format.
According to page 35, you need the "view mode" button on your remote. You sound like you want it set to "S" for "Stretch".
