Mobile radios cant be heard by the base radio unless the base radio calls first and then the mobile can be heard as long as it replies within a few seconds.

Can your mobile radios talk to each other? If so, your base has the problem. You may have the wrong selective calling features loaded, or if you aren't using selective calling like CTCSS or DCS, then try using monitor mode on the base. That will let anything through. You may also find that your squelch control is set to high. Try turning counter clockwise until you hear noise, then turn it clockwise until the nloised stops.

You will need to reload the software onto your Pearl. You will need to download the blackberry desktop manager software and the appropriate handheld device software. Click Here to access T-Mobile's blackberry page.

SOURCE: Radio keeps turning off

I had this problem last year ... very annoying to say the least.
It turned out to be my battery, it's was saying charged but was not.
I know it sounds far fetched but try switching with someone elses battery, or grab a new one in the store to try for a minute. You may also be able to try using your phone while it is plugged in. If the battery is not too far gone this will work to prove the battery is the issue.
It worked for me and I have heard of others having the same success by switching batteries. The girl that figured this out for me told me these batteries are not meant to be charge for long periods of time, and that plugging the phone in as you go to bed is what was harming mine. This I can't back up, but she was on the money with my other problem so she may be right?

Good luck

Why wont my scanner model 60 channel pro-2029 scan

Hi Chad,

Do you have any frequencies programmed into your radio scanner?

If not, then that is why you're not receiving anything.

If on the other hand you do have frequencies programmed, are they the correct frequencies for your location?

Are the frequencies the Tx or Rx frequencies that you programmed, The Tx frequencies are the correct frequencies to program, as Rx is the mobile(usually) Tx frequencies, and unless you're within 5 miles of that mobile, you won't hear it, and you certainly won't hear the base transmissions, unless it's a high powered Simplex Frequency.

I hope this has been useful to you.

Cheers,
Peter

Maxon wire fuses

If a inline fuse in a holder the old one will aside from length have the amperage printed on it---very few mobile radios use larger than a 3 amp fuse-----look on metal ends of old fuse if have it for markings like 3ag 3 250---3AG is size, 3 is 3 amp, 250 is max working voltage (120 is fine).

How do i program my kenwood tk260

You'll need the Kenwood serial cable and software to program this radio. Your best bet would be to contact a Kenwood Customer Service Representative directly. You should have the the radios in front of you when you call so that you can answer questions about them instead of having to call back, etc.

Kenwood contact information can be found here. The TK-260 radio falls under the "Land Mobile & Business" category.

Please rate this reply if helpful - good luck!
