Question about Hotpoint  Standard Range Hood
Firstly, if charcoal is loose in the plastic packaging around the filters are they damaged?
Secondly, how do I fit them?
Vbab, loose charcoal isn't a problem unless it gets out of the frame that it is supposed to be in and lands on your stove top. A small amount may have gotten around whatever is supposed to hold it. No worries! Most units shove into place. Usually, that means pushing one end of the filter frame into the unit against a spring. You can then push the other end up so that it is caught by the cabinet of the unit. Moderate pressure is required.
Go to GE.com and find your instruction manual or, if not available, the GEs are nearly the same.
