Crane convection heater won't come on

This seems to be a common problem among owners of this heater. The power light is on, but the fan nor heat will work.
I will post what I did to fix it, in case you are desperate for heat or something, but I don't recommend doing this and I'm not responsible for any loss you incur... bla bla dangerous bla bla you get the idea.
Take off the black side panel (not the side with the timer). It easily comes off by taking out the little screw around the edge. Inside you will see the heater bar with all the little heat-fingers sticking out of it. Towards the right you will see a little fuse thingy with a power connection behind right side. This fuse is blown. You can jumper past it or carefully pull that power connection off and unwind it a bit for extra slack and bring it to the OTHER side of the fuse where there is an available male terminal that just happens to be waiting there for you. While you are there, make sure all the heater fingers are separated nicely and free of dust-balls and stuff. Make sure the wires are secured away from the heat bar, and put the black panel back on. Yay it works again.

What safety issues should I look for in aquarium heaters?

There are some safety precautions that you should take to make sure the heater is safe for use:
  • Since most heaters are made of glass, you should look for cracks. If there are visible cracks, throw the heater away because if water enters the heater it can cause electric shocks to the fish and even to the owner.
  • Make sure that the fish doesn't use the heater has a hiding space because it can get severely burned from the heater. Basically, just create safe hiding places with decorations for you fish so it doesn't have to hide behind the heater.
  • Never take a warm heater out of the water. Make sure you take it out after it has been unplugged for at least 30 minutes.

I have a 2006 fleetwood morgan 32fb, no maual, water heater needs element and no idea how to get into it

Hello! the engine in your Motor home is a Ford V-10 ...See photo below of heater core which is more ten likely plugged...Recommend back flushing engine cooling system...Back flushing kit (for DIY) can be bought at any auto parts store for $10...Referencing the interior water heater requires a manual which can be bought at the following link........

http://www.fleetwoodrv.com/owners/manuals.asp

Electrolysis is the likely problem which turns the coolant into large gobs that block the cooling system...touch the negative lead of a voltmeter to chassis ground and dangle the (+) lead into the coolant...Digital meter works best...you must read less than .04 volts...If not, back flush and add the appropriate Motor Craft coolant then recheck...Guru...Saailer

My heater is brand new and worked for 3 days. i have no heat, i also have 4 flashes blink code. indicates high limit/ rollout switch. i have rechecked the thermastat, gas line and the vent pipe, the fan...

There is something else that is causing the Overload/Roll Over Switch to trip. You can try unplugging the unit from it's electrical source and wait 30 minutes before plugging it back in. That may allow it to reset itself. Unfortunately the Overload/Roll Over Switch is preset at the factory and is not adjustable.

If the unit resets itself and starts working again, but then shuts down, check your Owners Manual for other causes. If you've misplaced your Owners Manual, here's a link to it, that you can download and print.

Hope this helps to get you headed in the right direction. If all else fails, call the Technical Service Dept at the number listed in the Owners Manual.

The fireplace blower does not work therefore there is no or very little heat from my dimplex elect fireplace---thanks

This is a constant problem for ALL electric fireplaces with heaters. Either the Owners Manual fails to the manufacturer not telling you that the heating elements need routine cleaning, because they are sucking in household air to heat it and send it back out, So whatever is float in your household air (dust, lint & pet hair) near the floor goes into it, clogs it up and causes the heating element to overheat and fail. Or customers who have purchased these units don't read the Owners Manual.

These units, no matter who the manufacturer is were not designed to heat for long periods of time. In fact the heater element doesn't produce much more heat that a blow drier on high heat.

The heater and the blower and are in the lower compartment of the firebox. If you can access it, you can clean it with a shop vac and a brush attachment on the end of the hose. Be sure to unplug the fireplace from the wall outlet before attempting this. If cleaning it doesn't help, the blower motor will have to be replaced. You can order one from Dimplex USA.

2003 corolla heater temperature varies

check your in cabin air filter located behing the glove compartment. see your owner's manual for directions.
When this filter gets clogged air flow is restricted. You can blow the filter out with compressed air or replace. make sure you put in right side up.
