Are you trying to change if it rings or how it sounds when it rings?
The phone you have (Partner 18D) can be used on several different Avaya phone systems that all program differently. To change when it rings, this would need to done in the system programming (not the phone) All the manuals are avaialble on Avaya's web site but you need to know which system you have before you can start searching. www.avaya.com

- You would not be able to change the actual sound of the ring. Depending on your system it may be possible to change the pattern of the ring, however I looked through a few User guides for Partner phones and did not find any instructions for changing the ring. I know you could change the pattern with the Avaya MLX phones and the Definity phones but do not recall ever hearing a different ring pattern in the Partner series... and yes, oddly enough I would notice such a thing.Yes
