My GE Nautilus (model #GSD3200G00WW) continues spraying water even after the door is opened. The normal behavior is for the rinse cycle to stop once the door is opened. I'd like to fix this myself but I'm not sure which part is bad here. The door lock is fine and everything else is working fine on the dishwasher. If you have any ideas of which part needs to be replaced, it would be appreciated!

- I disassembled the dishwasher door to have a look. The door lock assembly works perfectly and all moving pieces are in good shape. I believe the issue is in fact the switch interlock piece which is connected to wires. There are two switch interlock pieces and it's difficult to know which one might be faulty. These are $60 each to replace. It could be that both are bad and need to be replaced. These are $60 each to replace. If anybody can advise a visual way to see the faulty one, please let me know; otherwise I may go the route of replacing both.

- I was able to find two new switch interlock pieces from an eBay user for $14 each (as opposed to approx $60 each on most other part sites). I received them today and installed both...the problem is fixed now!
Thank you to both individuals who provided feedback to my question and knew exactly where to have me look. It is much appreciated!
It is good the hear that you checked the door latch. The latch has some sort of micro switch (interlock switch) that tells the DW control unit when the door is open/closed. Dismantle the door latch and look for that switch. It will have thin wires connected to it.
The switch may have failed, the wires may be disconnected.
Report back what you have found. OK?

- Comparing the behavior of each switch should give you some idea of which one is bad. Using an Ohm meter on each as you close and open the switch should also determine which one is suspect.
Recommend you order from one or both from a place that allows painless returns. e.g.: http://www.repairclinic.com/
Good Luck and please report back with what you found.

There is a door interlock within the door assembly. I believe it's mechanically stuck rather than needing replacing.
Turn off & unplug. You should be able to get to the internals of the door via screws around the edge. The interlock will be very close to the handle catch. Check operation by inserting a dummy catch to lock onto it.
If it is stuck solid - order a replacement.

- You can check the operation of the switches with a continuity checker available from most auto stores. Alternatively, spend a little more for an ohm meter - and check the switch operation.
