PC shows no disc in drive E

I used my benQ camera USB cable to upload images from my Sony video camera. Now when i connect my benQ camera, it shows an icon for external hardware connected in the system tray, but when i go to my computer to access the photos, it says insert disc in drive E. it behaves as if there is no camera attached. please help me find out what's wrong.ihave windows XP home, so i don't need the driver, it always worked plug & play before. is this because i used the usb cable for another devide? i have no memory card reader.i tried both usb ports in the pc's front, in the back all of them are full with it a virus maybe?

Re: PC shows no disc in drive E

Is this because i used the usb cable for another devide?
- i dont think so. the usb cable that comes with the benQ camera is the usual usb cable. i used it for other devices and still works fine with my camera again. i even used another usb cable from other devices in camera and it works fine.

is it a virus maybe?
- well you can try inserting a different device in that usb port, now if it still cant see it, its probably busted. all your usb ports are on used? wow! how about you try taking some of it out and check those ports for your camera.

I have inserted the usb cable of sony cybershot DSC-W220 for uploading images to PC but the drive is not showing any folder of images

This problem happens when you scan and delete viruses from the memory card or lets say the drive of your camera. You will be able to see the images in your camera but won't be able to browse them after connecting to your PC. The best thing is to keep your Camera and its Memory Card safe from viruses. However, if your computer detects any viruses, just move to quarantine so that you can restore in future if there is such problem. Don't delete them.. Hope it helps you...

How to upload photos on my computer

They are several ways to upload a picture to the computer. The common way is through the USB cable that should of been provided with the camera. Once the connection is establish, the computer will show an external drive is connected in the My Computer window. Locate that drive and open it. In there you will find the pictures. Then you can copy those files and transfer them to anywhere in the computer. Another method is to remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a computer that has the slot for that particular card. If it doesn't, you can purchase a multiple card reader and connect it to a USB port. The computer will recognize them as external drives. Insert your card into the appropriate slot. Then do the same as I mentioned above.

How do I get my pictures to show up on my pc using the usb cable? We are trying to upload to a file using Windows XP. We downloaded Fuji's usb drivers. The screen is displaying "DSC". Thank you!

Check in My Computer that the camera shows there. It will be called a Removable Disc. If it does, you can access the images from there, like any other disc.
If it doesn't show, you may have some issue with drive lettering. Are you familiar on how to check for this?

Just hook it up to your PC using a USB connector provided along with your Digicam. On first use your PC automatically installs driver for your digicam connection, once done open Windows explorer and browse on which Drive your Digicam happens to be. From there you can copy/delete/preview images and videos on your PC.

How do you upload pics to computer from memory card?

If you have USB cable for your camera, just connect it to the computer and you will receive a transfer window, just click ok then pictures will be uploaded to your computer.

you may also use card reader then insert your card, connect it to the computer then the same procedure as above.

How do i upload my videos and pics on the computer

You might have received a USB cable along with your camera.. Connect the camera to your computer using the cable. Your computer would detect the newly attached camera and will show your camera as a new drive letter under "My Computer"
Open the camera drive by double clicking on the drive letter and then you can copy the files / images from the camera as you normally do from any other folder.
Please let me know in case I need to simplify the process any further.
Don't forget to tell me know if it worked :)

Cannot upload pics from camera to PC

Hi Ray;
Try uninstalling the Fuji software completely, through the Windows control panel. Don't use the supplied software at all. Make sure the camera is unplugged from the computer. Open "my computer" and note which drives are present. Now plug in the camera (still turned off) to the USB port. Turn the camera power switch on. Wait and see if a new drive icon shows up. It may take a minute or so. If you get a new icon (probably Fuji DSC or similar), you should be able to open the new drive and access the images through the various folders. If not, can you see images on the camera screen (when not connected to computer)? If yes, maybe a bad cable. If no, could be corrupted images on card.

Upload pictures to desktop

Do you have to switch the camera on manually?, as it may just be indicating that it is connected to pc. Try completely uninstalling the software and drivers. Disconnect camera and re install drivers, then try connecting to a different usb port. Check in my computer to see if the camera comes up as a storage disk.
