Its a philips lcd. The menu pops up every few moments. What should i do?

Sounds like a bad controller board. Board-level repair on a monitor controller board is quite difficult and bound to fail, for a number of reasons. You can look at the part number on the controller and try to locate a replacement online. Otherwise, the switch for the menu might be bad.

There are plenty of places you can look. Shopjimmy.com. Tiger parts direct. Encompass parts are just a few. Just google the part# and some part suppliers will pop up.

Your tv is being attacked by electrical surges which seem very violent and has already damaged some logic controls. Please invest in a AC filter which will protect your tv from such spikes....... but first you need to get your tv serviced from the electrical damaged it has already suffered.
