Laptop slow and not responding

You should place the drive from the Presario 2200 in an 2.5" external enclosure or use a USB/SATA/IDE adapter. (If you want to use an external enclosure, you will need to check if your drive has a SATA or IDE connection and get the correct type.)

If you replace the drive in a working laptop with the non-working drive, you will probably get the same issue. The error suggests that the Presario can't find an OS on that drive. At best, you will see errors due to drivers and Windows seeing a new CPU and motherboard.

When you connect via a USB connection, you be able to attempt to find the files on the old drive. This will be slow (limited by the USB speed). If you had a desktop, you could get faster transfers. If there is a free 3.5" bay, you will need a 2.5" to 3.5" drive adapter. Then you would need some adapters for the IDE connection to the motherboard (if the old drive is IDE and the motherboard supports IDE). Make sure the drive is on the "Slave connection" of an IDE cable and set for Slave or Cable connect. There are IDE to SATA adapters or PCIe cards that will support adding drives if your motherboard can't accept more drives.

Get the computer back from them and re-install windows. In future try to boot in safe mode first (press F8 when it's booting)

On the motherboard of all computers is a small battery. It looks like a watch battery. The purpose is to keep a small amount of electricity going to the motherboard so the time and date can stay current. When that battery gets low on power or dies then the time and date is wrong. Its called the CMOS battery and it needs to be replaced and then everything will return back to normal. You can do it yourself if you're confident or take it to computer repair shop.

try to replace your Hard disk. maybe your hard disk is damaged and need to be replace
