Press "clock" and hold for a few seconds. It will say the day. If the day is wrong, use the arrow keys to move either forward or backword through the week. When the day is set press "clock" again and you will hear the hour. Press the arrow keys to move the hours. Press again for the minutes and use the arrow keys to set the minutes. Last press "clock" again and set AM or PM. By the way, the manual does not tell you how to set the clock.

Good luck!

I cant get the phone to accept the date or time or get the answer

You need to find anything related to auto date & Time , or auto update in time settings,
If you get that settings, then disable the auto update of date and time.
