Viewfinder won't open

Hello, I don't have the manual for your Z612 in front of me at the moment but does this model not have a small button marked EVP/LCD
near the LCD screen ? If you press the button it should switch from the LCD screen to the viewfinder.

Help! Won't turn on

Fuji suggests; "If the digital camera will not turn on, run through the "Checklist" given below. If this does not solve the problem, take the camera, the batteries, and the AC Power Adapter to an authorized FUJIFILM service center for testing and repairs. [Checklist] 1. The direction of your battery might be wrong. Confirm it and put it again. 2. Load new or fully charged batteries. 3. The battery terminals may be dirty in a way that cannot be seen (fingerprints, etc.). Wipe the terminals clean with a soft cloth. 4. Press the Power button again firmly." Cleaning the battery contacts sounds worth a try. Fuji also say; "Please use only alkaline batteries or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries with Fujifilm digital cameras Please note that instruction manuals provided with Fujifilm digital cameras recommend that only alkaline batteries or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are used with those digital cameras which require AA or AAA type batteries. If other types of batteries are used together with an AC adaptor, this may result in the rare occurrence of the battery overheating. Please do not use batteries other than those recommended in our instruction manuals." Check that the type of battery is correct Did you buy the camera new? is it still under warranty? Here is the link to the support page for the s7000 including manuals, repair centre details etc; or direct to the manual; Apart from contacting Fuji for service, the only suggestion I could find in the manual was that the battery cover may not be closing fully. Worth checking. Hope this helps :)

Kodak v803 wont turn on

i had the same problem, if you try to turn the lens in as if you turning a dile, the lens will go back in manually once you have the lens completly in again, as if the camera is switched off, then turn the camera back on at the power button and the camera will operate as normal, this worked for me i hope it works for you too.

Cannon G7 need help

Had the same problem a few months ago. There was a high pitchedwhisltle and I think the screen said "lens fault.turn off camera" or something similar.Bought a G9 to replace as the 7 was out of guarantee but sent the 9 back to the e-bay reseller as it was obviously secondhand with grit around the lens ring and the viewfinder.Ebay never again!.So 3 months ago ago I tried the G7 again with a fresh charged battery before I consigned the camera to the loft.I noticed that each time i switched on the whistle and message was there but the lens extended slightly further each timeso I kept rebooting until the lens was fully extended.Turned the camera off and on again and everything was back to normal. It seems that this may be Canons protocol when a camera goes back. Its been absolutely fine until today. It wont boot up at all.I have tried 2 fresh charged batteries and its dead.Any ideas anyone?

Fuji s5000

Above the screen display on the back of the camera are two small buttons. The left one is blue and the right one is marked EVF/LCD.

Push the right side button to change from the viewfinder to the screen.

Canon A310 Won't Power Up.

Try checking this... on the battery door (the outside door) along the top edge (over the CF card pointer embossed in the back of the door) you should see a little plastic piece that pokes out... tis is supposed to push a small switch located in a slot over the battery compartment. It's the sensor that tells if the battery door is open or closed.. if the plastic part breaks off or gets chipped it wont push the button and the camera will not turn on when the shutter door is opened.

Lcd dark

Use an eyeglass screwdriver to remove the back half of the case. (6 screws, 2 screws each on sides and bottom) When you remove it, the ribbon cable for its buttons comes out just by pulling. You now see the LCD (which is fine), its cable connection (lower right), its power connection (two wires on right). Either these wires have come unsoldered (easy to fix without microsoldering capability) or some part of the power supply for the LCD backlight is bad (very hard to fix, you probably need a new motherboard). When you put the case back on, first you have to plug in the ribbon cable - first open the tiny black plug lock out and around to the left, put the cable all the way in, then lock the black part back right and in. Screw the case back on and you're fine.
