The installation CD that was included with your HP printer will walk you through the steps to successfully install this printer. Simply insert CD into ANY computer that will be used on your wireless network and follow the onscreen prompts. If you do not have the installation CD, go to HP.com to download the software. The Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 1000 hardware set includes the Microsoft Wireless MultiMedia Keyboard Version 1.1a, Microsoft Standard Wireless Optical Mouse Version 1.0a and the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Receiver version 2.1a.
The receiver connects to your computer through a USB port.
The product installation CD that ships with the hardware set includes the software drivers that are required to install the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop hardware on your Windows computer.

Insert the batteries that are included with the hardware set in the keyboard and mouse.
The battery installation latches are located on the bottom of the hardware devices.
Place the product installation CD in your computer's CD drive.
The hardware installation wizard will open automatically.

Plug the receiver into an open USB port on your computer when prompted.
Follow the wizard to synchronize the mouse and keyboard with the receiver.
Close the wizard when it finishes to complete the installation process.

Specifically, download the "Graphic Tablet Driver for Windows 2.5.7" which includes the driver for GraphicPal 0806.

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. you need your windows xp software cd... it is included when you buy a new laptop..

you also need the back up of your settings...commonly there are image backup cd included when you buy a new laptop...

For my Sony player. I have to press and hold the volume knob for about 5 seconds, and then a new set of options shows up, including the Bass Boost option, and the Clock option. If you do not hold it for that long, you get the Balance, Treble, Fade, etc.

Step1 Turn off your computer and unplug. Remove the left and right side panels.

Step2 Remove the covering of the drive bay that you plan to use for your new CD/DVD Drive.

Step3 Set the jumper. This is the most difficult part involved with the installation process. If you only have one drive for your system set your jumper on the back the drive to Master. If you have two or more set it to slave. Consult your drives manual to see a picture of what a master/slave jumper configuration looks like. It is best to have the fastest drive set as the master.

Step4 After you have set the jumpers insert the drive into the empty drive bay you selected.

Step5 Secure your CD/DVD drive to your computers chassis with screws and a screwdriver. Mounting screws are typically included with your drive.

Step6 Locate and connect the required power and IDE cables to the back of the drive. These cables are keyed, meaning they are shaped specifically for that drive. It's impossible to install the wrong cables.

Step7 Put the side panels back on and plug your computer back in. Turn it on and your computer should recognize the new drives. If they are not recognized you may need to install the drivers, which are usually included on a CD that's included with your new drive.
