I installed a remote start/alarm in my 95 suburban.I have everything working right except the remote start will start the truck and die after 5 seconds.I don't have anti-theft keys,so that that's not the problem.I have connected the tach wire to the purple/white at the ecm, then to the white coil wire, then to the oils sending unit wire. The truck still dies after 5 seconds.I haven't connected the tach wire tothe fuel injector wire yet.My remote module doesn't have a tach relearn procedure.(it's a carvox 601)
Oh,I forgot to mention that my remote start won't start on the first try.It doesn't even try to crank. It will start on the second try every time....then it dies.

Installations of this nature are usually reserved for professionals. However, get out your installation manual. You will also need two single pulse double throw relays and some diodes. First you will need to locate the ground when running. This wire might be labeled " (-) third ignition". The first relay for the starter will be wired like so: starter wire to 86, fused 12 volts to 87, 30 out to vehicle second starter wire, 85 to ground when running. The second relay will be wired 86 to vehicle ignition, 87 to fused 12 volt, 30 out to second ignition, and 85 to ground when running.
Their Commando FM 870 has a remote transmitter pager and remote starter, allowing you to control your car from almost a half mile away. Maybe the installer did not hook up the remote starter unit to disarm the factory security system upon entry or remote-starting. Ask the installer to double check that part of the install as it would cause the factory security to trigger even though you unlocked the vehicle with the remote start unit remote.
You need to adjust the tachometer sensing wire, it usually wraps around a spark plug wire so I can sense when the car starts. On my spy alarm, the wire was grey. Hope this helps.
did your install it yourself or did someone do it for you if either way man you may need to get someone to look at your wiring make sure everything is tired in right to your vehicle your power sources your ground everything your relay may be gone on the remote start in that case you can have that problem check your relay leading to your remote start
if this vehicle has a white wire in the ignition harness it needs powered by the ignition out of the remote start if your remote start doesnt have a second ignition use relay not poering this wire will ruin your transmission the white wire must have power this should solve your problem dont use remote start until you fix this problem or it will cost alot of money.
