Insignia NSB-55L260A13. Same issue, won’t turn on without unplugging and plugging in several times. Turns off after awhile. After plugged in, 2 blinks, then red light stays on (not always) screen flashes then black screen. What is code for 2 blinks? I can’t find in your link...I’m thinking bad power supply. If so, where can I buy one? I’m a disabled female with zero help, so I would greatly appreciate any provided.

I have had some issues with high ESR readings in the capacitors in the scaler circuits in those units. Do you have an ESR meter to check the caps in circuit?

SOURCE: Magnavox 50" plasma Won't Power on/Shut's off/Blinking red LED

The above fix, listed by Tom saved us!! We did as instructed and took off the back of our 50 inch Magnavox plasma tv. We were not sure what we were looking for so we googled capacitator (image) & there was a photo of a fried capacitator! Sure enough we noticed ours were "fried", we took out the board and went to an electronic supply store, bought the 2 capacitators ($2.00 each!!) and then found someone who did tv repair to sauter the new capacitators onto the board. (It is important someone who know how to sauter and recognizes polarity do do this for you) All in all we fixed this following the above instructions for $34.00 and our time. For a month we were told to spend hundreds getting a new power board!
Kudos to you Tom & thanks so much!!

SOURCE: samsung lcd tv ltm1755b won't turn on (power light stays red)

Problem: Samsung LTM1755B with only a blinking yellow LED when you try to turn it on.

Solution: I just had one of these come in. I opened it up, and found the U501 capacitor a little suspicious looking, in that it had a deformed top. It was a 470uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 12mm. I replaced it with a very good quality 1000uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 16mm Nichicon UHN1C102MPD. After that repair, when I tried to turn it on, the LED was yellow for a second, then green, then I got a picture, and it appeared to work great. I then asked the owner a week later how it was working, and they said it was working just like new!

I have an Insignia NS-55L260A13 turning off and on continuously. I can unplug it it and power it completely down by holding the power button down. But this only solves the problem for about 15 min.

I agree with the last answer failing power board. Most TVs have up to a three year warranty. However after this time if you are not familiar with replacing these boards which most people aren’t then it most likely would be cost prohibitive to have your tv repaired.
However here’s a “ballpark” figure for a repair shop if you could find one. The replacement board approximately $190.00then roughly 2 hrs labor $180. And more than likely a diagnosit fee between $20.00 - $50.00.

I have this Insignia TV NS-55L260A13 that turns on and then turns off by itself. Sometimes it doesn't turn on at all. What might be the problem? Thanks.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Before going further; try a hard reset first. If it does not help you, replace the main digital board. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here.

Insignia ns-55l260a13 does not power on. Power led blinks 5 shorts, pause, 2 shorts and stays on. Screen blinks and nothing else happens afterwards.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

What is the typical startup time for a 55" LCD TV?

35 seconds is a bit long. You may want to contact Insignia's tech support and bring this to their attention. I would say there is a problem,

It'll turn on and run but it flickers the entire time. its happened before but quits after a while. this time though, it won't stop. any suggestions?

Best bet would be to unplug it completely and let it sit for about five minutes, plug it back in and turn it on, if it's still flickering there's more than likely something wrong with the backlight or the power supply. All Insignia TV's carry a 2 year manufactures warranty, so if it's less than two years old just take it to a Best Buy and have it serviced. It'll be gone for a few weeks, but either issue is an expensive fix.

My new afterglow controller won't sync but turns on, it is wired.

If by not syncing you mean it flashes the whole ring when you plug the controller in the USB and won't identify? If so I think the problem may be that you have other USB devices plugged in at the same time. Unplug all the USB and plug the controller in by itself. I've had issues with this for awhile myself. I had a bluetooth and another wireless kb/mouse. So I unplugged everything tried it by itself and it seems to identify perfectly.

Conclusion: Unplug all the USB devices and plug the Afterglow 360 controller by itself and that should solve the problem. =)

Damn Blinking!

You can buy a used monitor about $50.00 in the US. or You should take the monitor to an authorized repairman. IT IS NOT recommended to fiddle by banging a defective unit WHICH has HIGH voltage running through it.

Insignia nsr2000 on/off problem.

had the same problem... turns out the copper on my red and black speaker wire (on the speaker, not receiver end) was touching - causing my receiver to go to standby (self-preservation probably lol). i pulled the wires further apart so the copper ends weren't touching and that solved it.
