When i turn on my computer it has white vertical lines through it which shift when the desktop should appear. Video works fine when connected to my tv. I pulled it appart and dusted it out, and let it sit for a day and still the same thing.

Re: My screen is stuck with white vertical lines through...

The A75 has on board video, so that can only be replace with a new motherboaed. However, it sounds like maybe the lcd cable is not secure either at the lcd, or the board. Try re-seating the cable. It's a 3 handed job to do the back of the lcd connection, but worth it if it fixes the problem.
Hope that helps.
good luck

Vertical line down screen

This problem can be caused by a lose connection between LCD and motherboard, however you can check it by opening the LCD or hinge bezel to ensure if there isn't any lose connection.

Prior to the Windows splash screen do you see graphical issues ( black background, white writing, or bios splash screen) if you don't then the problem is with windows and will need to be reinstalled. Samsung ship laptops with a windows cd and is a fairly basic wizard. If you don't know how to do this google is full of guides. If you however see graphical problems right from turning the laptop on then there is likely to be a hardware fault straight from the factory. Contact Samsung and they will repair / replace the laptop through warranty. I have seen several Samsung laptops brand new from the box do this and It turned out to be a hardware issue and was replaced on warranty. Good luck.

Screen is white with black vertical lines upon booting up. I can't get beyond this screen.

The video card (built-in on the motherboard) maybe faulty or the LCD screen is faulty.
Connect an external monitor to the video port of your laptop, power up the monitor first then boot up your laptop. If the video card id OK then the laptop will automatically divert the video to the external monitor. Then the problem is a faulty LCD screen.
If the external monitor also displays black vertical lines then you have a faulty video card and since it is part of the motherboard it is impossible to fix.

The screen shows vertical line on a white background then when i adjust the screen, it turns completely white. But for me it is when adjusting or applying a small pressure on the screen or even when...

The screen is starting to go bad and needs to be replaced probably. Anytime lines appear it usually means the screen is bad.

Best way to verify this, is to unseat and reseat the lcd cables to the screen and if it still happens then you know the screen is bad, if it doesn't then it was a loose cable.

LCD Screen turned opaque at two places, I see two white opaque lines 3 inches wide one on left side of screen and other in the middle

Yes you are correct. I would say 95% of the time, you will need a LCD screen replacement. Also be sure to disconnect and reconnect the lcd cables, at the motherboard and behind the lcd itself, just to make sure the cables aren't making bad connection.
I have provided you a link to MANY lcd screen for your laptop on EBAY.

Hope this helps you. Please rate my solution.

Some black colors are replaced with red blue flickreing in whites

Hi there
Firstly reinstall the graphics drivers, if its still the same there is a problem with the graphics card and you'll have to have it looked at.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!

HP Pavillion ZV5405 with Black/White vertical lines through screen

Will it boot from a CD/DVD? Make sure the boot sequence is set to boot CD first and then see if it will boot into setup from a CD/DVD. If it will, then maybe try reinstalling windows. Hope this helps.
