It has been observed some problem in keypad.we installed the DX8100 series of CCtv system at ONGC offshore. we tried to solve the problem & restarted the the system. I am going to write a short discussion because I feel this subject is best handled by a person that knows what they are doing. There are plenty of Youtube videos that shows you how to install a CCTV system. As you didn't mention what type of CCTV camera it is, can this topic become very lengthy. Please look at this tutorial on youtube,
The old systems is not difficult to do it yourself if your technical minded, although the newer systems will require some IT background. I recommend a certified installer to assist you, you can damage the camera if you don't know what your are doing.
Get the correct cabling and connectors. The easiest are the pre-crimped cabling for DIY and it is plug and play. No setup is usually required for the CCTV recorder to work unless the recording on the CCTV was disabled. Any other setup will require special tools.
You get 2 kinds to wired CCTV camera systems. The old tech is analogue with a thick data cable and set of wire for power. The professional installed cabling will require a technical person to crimp the CCTV cable with a special BNC crimping tool. The The old systems needs to have The newer systems uses LAN cables. The newer systems requires an IT/CCTV tech person to set it up.
Yes you can definitely view your CCTV footage on your mobile phone at your work via internet. Sentient CCTV DVR basically is a night vision camera. You must know the IP of the camera and IP Video server. Connecting your phone to CCTV camera via the protocol you can view the CCTV footage's in your phone. Night vision cameras are used for surveillance purpose. I would prefer cctv camera with ir illuminator for good image quality in the night time that will clear footage quality in my phone. Recently many new applications have also being launched by security cameras with a view to solve problem you mentioned.
