Question about Miele W2203 Front Load Washer
my w2203 (3 yrs old) has gone mental... It wont stop spinning at max speed. have turned off at the mains, let it have a little rest, tried pessing all of the buttons at the same time (to see if there was some secret reset code...), .Emptied filter, some minor debris and the equiv of a large cup of water came out, but when you turn it back on it still jumps straight back into max spin.
thanks in advance

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.
Your filter of the water inlet valve is accessible outside the machine; it is at the water entry point. Close your faucet & check this out; this gets clogged often.
Hope i am helpful...... Click on 'thanks for trying' if not helped, your prob will be back for someone else to solve.

SOURCE: Miele W1926 water light flashes
That happened to me too. If the machine is a few years old and the hoses are not kinked it's possible the water inlet valve needs to be replaced. On this machine there is a triple cold water valve and a single hot water valve. Mine needed the triple valve and it is about $300 if I remember. Check to see if it's the cold or hot water valve by looking at the water filling through the soap drawer for cold or hot water cycles. When the valves go bad they run but the output is very low which causes the light to flash because it can't fill to the correct level.
You can get to the valves by taking off the top. If you don't feel comfortable working on your own machine have a professional do it.
