They have door parts this size but the holes for teh handles are in the wrong place. wondering if there was a way to get something to replace it.

SOURCE: GE JVM1650BB005

You can search under Repair Parts and enter your full model number JVM1650BB005 and get an exploded view diagram here: http://www.geappliances.com/shop/prts/ That diagram can be a great help. Also, I've attached below a door panel diagram from a Sharp model. Your GE disassembly may work the same way. If you haven't already taken the door off the microwave, I would recommend you don't unless you leave the hinge assembly attached to the door and remove the door from the hinges. It's critical to be sure you get (or keep) the door and hinged aligned exactly as they were to prevent leakage.

The plastic door handle is broken.
You will need to get a replacement door handle.
Go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/gtppilot/sets...57607539089979/
This should help. It is a set of photographs and instructions to do the job of replacing the handle.

Good luck.

SOURCE: the mesh screen on the inside door has a hole in it..

would suggest replacing door for safety purposes only," it could be fine as far as resisting waves",but never sure for how long or if it realy is. An old saying makes sense," Better safe than sorry".

Help need replace glass panel in pvc

Hi,

This door is radius and would be difficult to replace. Repair clinic claims the part is due in at the end of this month, I wish you luck on your search. I have not seen someone make this correctly as the metal supports at the bottom are attached to the glass and the stainless steel outer panel is just a panel stuck to glass.

Good luck

The inside glass (between the inner and outer glass of the door) of the upper oven door of my GE JT952-30 shattered during a baking cycle. I need the replacement part number and a possible source.

Hello would need the entire model number as you can see by this link there are 32 models of that oven http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/JT952?searchModPar=JT952&pathTaken=modelSearch&prst=0&shdMod=JT952

you can either message me back and I will then pick which is your unit then you would go under door schematic and it would bring up the diagram for your unit which when you clicked on door it would being you to this blown up view of the door this is an example http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/GE-Parts/Wall-oven-Parts/Model-JT952BF7BB/0432/0125300/G0510389/00005?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= and if you scrolled down to like on this schematic has the outer door glass shown as number 140 in the diagram and then underneath that it would give the part number such as it does for this one being
PART NUMBER: WB57T10259 if you have any further questions or would like me to look your model up further please message me back with the complete model number Thanks Rick

After cleaning the inside of glass door is still dirty? What should I use to clean it?

you need to split the inner and outer door panels, then remove the inner glass pane from between the 2 sections then carefully replace all parts especially if its a self- clean oven type

If anyone can locate this part I would bet on appliance parts pros:
1-877-477-7278 http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=2035287

This door glass was originally made by GE.

You can also try the repair clinic:
800-269-2609
http://www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts?s=t-WB57K5121-%3d%3d

These 2 sources will probably be your best bet. I know it says they are not stocked.

As I said GE made this door originially. You can call their parts line at :
Parts:
Call: 800-626-2002 Start with the call to GE parts first using your WB57K5121 part number. Fingers crossed but as a service tech this is exactly what I would do if I were faced with your situation. Wish you the best and would appreciate any feedback on your search results. Thanks for choosing FixYa. Kelly

Replacing outer glass of oven door

This is glass because glass does not burn, does not melt at oven temperatures, and is a pretty good insulator. Also allows the cook to watch the cake rise.

I would not replace with anything but factor glass. Too dangerous, even regular glass is not properly treated to be safe in this environment.

The cash for clunkers gets extended to appliances soon, perhaps this makes a new one more affordable?

Oven door

Contact your nearest appliance store. Most have GE parts in stock. This may be more available than you think. I have seen someone take tempered glass and literally glue it with special heat resistant glue and it looked really pretty nice. The edges were beveled and not sharp. This of course is a last resort.

I need to replace my outer glass door of my oven its an indesit i have all the parts but just can't get the old piece of glass off any ideas? please

You may have to disassemble the door to get to it. Are you sure this is not a double paned glass and it is 2 pieces of glass in one assembly?
