Siemens Siwamat 2085, the knob for adjusting the duration you want to wash the clothes is jam, may I know how to adjust it back ? Kindly advise, thank you.

check for a capacitor on the motor if it has one, replace that to start with, that what it sounds like

Sounds like your pump went out on the machine. They are not ease to replace though. You might want to kall some one out to fix.

Make sure you use high efficiency detergent.  The front load machines take a special kind of detergent to make them run smoothly.  Check your drain hose for clogs, and clean the pump again.  If none of these fix the problem, you will probably need to replace the pump.
