SOURCE: No resistance when I pedal the stationary exercise bike

Hi,

I looked into this thinking is must be a simple belt, or tention wheel, but these devices are much more complex than the average exercise machine. See the Recumbent selection here.

It appears that the tentioning device is a magnetic brake.
This would require that it be plugged into a power source and programmed to provide a desired tention.
I've never used one of these so I can't say what kind of programming options there are or where they are found.

Hope this helps.
Richard.

How many people will 16ft Starcraft hold?

boat operator should never take a boat on the water with too many people or too much gear on board. Boats loaded beyond their capacity will swamp or capsize more easily and will be more difficult to control.
  • Look for a capacity plate near the operator's position or on the transom of the boat. This plate indicates the maximum weight capacity and/or the maximum number of people that the boat can carry safely in good weather.
    • You should not exceed eitherthe stated maximum weight capacity or the maximum number of people.
    • Maximum weight is the combined weight of passengers, gear, and motors.
    • In many states, it is a violation to exceed capacity.
  • Federal law requires single-hull boats less than 20 feet in length to have a capacity plate. (However, PWC and sailboat manufacturers are not required to attach a capacity plate.) Always follow the recommended capacity found in the owner's manual and on the manufacturer's warning decal. Never exceed these capacity recommendations.
Example of a Capacity Plate Although federal law requires capacity plates only on boats less than 20 feet in length, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) requires a capacity plate on all boats less than 26 feet in order to be certified by NMMA.
Maximum Capacity Plate Calculating Your Boat's Capacity On boats less than 20 feet in length with no capacity plate, use the following rule of thumb to calculate the number of persons (weighing 150 lbs. each, on average) the vessel can carry safely in good weather conditions.
Number of people = vessel length (ft.) x vessel width (ft.) ÷ 15
For example, for a vessel 18 feet long by 6 feet wide, the number of persons is 18 times 6 (or 108) divided by 15, which equals seven 150-lb. persons (or a total person weight of 7 x 150, or 1050 lbs.).

Owners manual what is the weight limit

There is no maximum passenger weight capacity listed in the owners manual for my Boulevard S-50, and no maximum passenger weight capacity for the Marauder 800 (which is almost exactly the same bike) listed anywhere that I can find on the internet. The front and rear springs are adjustable for passenger weight, but I would suggest the maximum weight is limited by the rear tire capacity stamped on the sidewall and what weight you feel comfortable handling. Don't forget to include the weight of the motorcycle (about 456 pounds) and the weight of the gasoline (about 6.0 pounds per gallon).

What is the maximum towing capacity for a 1987 chevy caprice brougham..? ( the 305 engine) Thanks!

With a 20 year old vehicle, the original towing capacity does not apply.
I'd set a limit of whatever the weight of your vehicle is as a safe number (if car weighs 3,200 lbs, tow weight is 3,200lbs Max.) Trailer weight is also determined by the capacity of the hitch.
Trailer loading should be at 60% of weight on hitch.
Don't forget...you need a fully functional cooling system, adequate (most times additional) transmission cooling, and good suspension (air shocks, variable load rear springs and fresh differential lube). If this is done, you may be able to add 20-30% more trailer weight.
One item often overlooked is that it really does not matter if you can pull a load...you need to be able to stop it. Make sure your brakes are in really good condition!!!

Breakers how to

After considering the application work, determine the carrier on which the breaker will be installed. Gorilla Hammers has assigned a 'Recommended Carrier Weight' range to each breaker. If the operating weight of the carrier falls within this range, the carrier will safely handle this model of breaker. If the desired breaker falls outside of this recommended carrier weight range, the carriers lifting capacity and oil flow will need to be verified to ensure a proper fit. Lifting Capacity: Provided the weight of the breaker does not exceed the maximum lifting capacity at any position, the carrier is assumed to be stable. On most loader backhoes and excavators, the maximum lifting capacity is lowest when the boom is at full reach. This is the value that must be compared to the operating weight of the breaker. Oil Flow and Operating Pressure: A required oil flow range is specified for each breaker. Oil flow to the breaker within this range is adequate for operation. However, for maximum productivity the carrier should be capable of providing the maximum required flow. Compare the maximum oil flow requirement of the breaker with the oil flow capacity of the carrier. Remember the breaker operates at 1500-2500-psi. therefore, oil flow should be evaluated at operating pressure.
