Outlook Express

1. Click Tools then Accounts
2. Click Mail
3. Click Properties
4. Click Servers
5. In the Account Name field, it should be the first part of your email address (probably it's like this already).
6. Put a checkmark by My Server Requires Authentication at the bottom of the page.
7. Click Settings
8. Select Log on Using
   • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
   • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
9. Click Apply
10. Click OK
11. Click Close

Microsoft Outlook

1. Click Tools then Email Accounts (Accounts and Services on older versions of Outlook)

3. Click Change or Properties of your Email Account
4. Click More Settings
5. Click Outgoing Server
6. Check My Server Uses Authentication
7. Select Log on Using
   • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
   • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
8. Click OK
9. Click Next
10. Click Finish
    

This should fix the Outlook to send email. Close Outlook and re-open it to start sending mail.

Your password will be sent to the most current e-mail address that they have on record for your screen name. If you have changed your e-mail address and did not notify the AIM system of that update, then your password will still be sent to your old e-mail address. If this occurs and you are no longer able to access e-mail at your old address, then there is no way for them to inform you of your AIM password. Changing to a new e-mail address is a drawn out process that takes longer the longer that you've had your e-mail address. The good thing about gmail is there extremely high quota, which allows plenty of time for you to start using your new e-mail address without missing out from your old e-mail.
