hey there. i just did a fresh install of windows, reinstalled all sevice packs, etc. my maxtor iii usb external hdd is not being recognized by windows. it was before, so i don't know what's going on at all....all other peripherals work in all other usb ports...i installed the software also.

- i have the exact same problem...my comp wont show the drive up in my computer so basically i can't access it. but it does show up on my USb port and it also says that the device is enable and in working order- Guest
