No there is not a way to just change the password on these devices. If you have changed the password from the default and either forgot it ,or fat fingered it upon entry then you will need to do a hard reset which resets everything. However the config's on these are so simple it shouldn't take longer than 10 min to reconfigure it, especially if you have good documentation!
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Known as a soft reset online at the routers IP address...sometimes you can get there by typing www.myrouterlogin.net but it should be on the outside case of the router.i.e.192.168.0.1 and then login in with default user : pass also shown on case.observe upper or lower case.usually admin:admin If no info on case just google default router ip etc for make and model.then once in settings ...reset
There might be info in your routers user manual to reset the router, then the login will be the same as the factory default and you can login and reconfigure it all over again including changing the default password to your liking.
Looks like you wil have to do a facotry reset. You can do a factory reset by logging into the router using you browser. Go to the settings and perform a factory reset
If you forgot the router password, you ill have to do a factory reset by locating a small hold on the back of the router and insert the tip of of paper clip for about 10 seconds while the power is on. The router will be reset to out of box status and then you can ssets-up form scratch.
If you lost the wireless access key you can find it by logging into your router. Using an internet browser type 192.168.1.1 into your address bar. A login window should pop up. The default login is username: admin password: admin . If these do not work then you need to reset your router to factory defaults. If this does work then look for the place where you can change the key and change it. You may need to reset the router after this for settings to take effect but after that it should work.
To reset to factory defaults, look for a button on the back that says reset. Press and hold this down for 30 seconds. Everything should reset to factory defaults and you should be able to connect without a password.
By default, there is no username and the password is 'admin' without the quotes.
If you are unable to login using those credentials you might consider performing a hard reset. This will erase all settings, so you will have to reconfigure the router.
To reset: Hold the reset button, located on the back, for 30 seconds While still holding the button, pull the power cable, wait 30 seconds Continuing to hold the power button, plug the power back in After 30 more seconds release the reset button Let the router sit for a few minutes, then try to login
The above procedure is often referred to as a 30-30-30.
have you tried entering a blank username i.e. enter nothing? and use admin as the password if that doesnt work look on the label on the bopttom of the router your isp might have configured it with there own username and password
If you forgot your router password, you will have to reset the router back to factory defaults and log in using the default password.-->
To restore the factory default configuration settings without knowing the login password or IP
address, you must use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router.
Connect to the wireless router by typing http://www.routerlogin.net or the router's LAN IP
address (default is 192.168.1.1) in the address field of your browser and then press Enter. A
login window opens:.
Enter admin for the router user name and your password (or the default, password).
For more details use the netgear instruction manual--->HERE!
Do you mean the key to log onto your wireless network? Plug a computer directly into the wireless router via the ethernet cable and go to 192.168.0.1. or 192.168.1.1in Internet Explorer. I believe one of those default address for netgear routers. Login to the router, the default login is login:admin password:password then select 'wireless settings' on the left and you should see the key.
If any of the default info has been changed and you cannot login, you will need to reset by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds. But you will have to reconfigure the wireless network and reconnect all computers that were previously connected.
If you don't have change your password from factory defaults then look into manual for user name and password...
If you have change your password then, Sorry you have to reset your router. this will delete all your configuration but will set your login id and password to factory defaults... ( there is no other way)
