Question about Arris SBG1000 Wireless Cable Modem Gateway Router (493989-001-00)
Using the SBG1000 router, but i can't login with the default login info. Is there any way to reset the info without resetting the entire router?
Even after resetting the router with a hard reset. Still no access to the router thru wireless period. Only thru cat5 patch cord.

No there is not a way to just change the password on these devices. If you have changed the password from the default and either forgot it ,or fat fingered it upon entry then you will need to do a hard reset which resets everything. However the config's on these are so simple it shouldn't take longer than 10 min to reconfigure it, especially if you have good documentation!

To restore the factory default configuration settings without knowing the login password or IP
address, you must use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router.
Connect to the wireless router by typing http://www.routerlogin.net or the router's LAN IP
address (default is 192.168.1.1) in the address field of your browser and then press Enter. A
login window opens:.
Enter admin for the router user name and your password (or the default, password).
