Hi there Angus, SmartAlec from NelsonVacuums.com.au here. That light normally means the motor is stuffed but it will also light if the roller cant spin. So just check there is no obstuction stopping the roller from turning and also remove the roller and take of the end caps and clean out the debris that ias likely there too. If this isnt the problem unfortunatley you will have to get a new head. Hope this helps. Happy Vacuuming :)
