IDK. We have no idea your tools or skill sets, why ask that.?>
this cheap atom , PC uses
eMMC (TLC) as main media. 32GB to 128,
the small 32GB is NO GOOD on W10, (dies at updates full)
My guess is w10 is dead, so get HP to help you reload w10.
or RTM
the manual at HP , I'm reading it now for you
shows the steps for Recovery.
page 60 states
If storage is 32 GB or less, Microsoft System Restore is disabled by default.
oops,? that takes help from HP.com guess what?, we are not THEm.
RTM

warning some have tiny (dinky) 32GB
that later if running w10 , is not enough at all, it was HP blunder, and many other makers did this, to make PC as cheap as a Chromebook, and is HUGE FAILURE.
W10 needs way mores space. to live,.
with applications loaded,
and then w10 updates forced loaded, the spaces goes to zero and fails.
I boot to a Linux USB stick (demo, try me mode) called live Linux, boot.
then test the HDD./SSD.
test the drive to see if it is alive. or full.
first.
eMMC, is like early SSD, ok< crude but works.

Hi there,
The only other troubleshooting step you can try is to reseat the hard drive of your laptop. Meaning you would have to take it out and put it back in. Usually you would have to remove the battery unplug it from the wall and then on the back of the laptop (mostly on the corners) you would have to remove 3 or 4 screws then slide the hard drive out.
Once out use an eraser to rub the copper contacts then put it back in and then the screws.
If the Hard drive still cannot be detected then it means your hard drive is fried and you would have to replace it. You can contact HP to order a replacement or you can bring the Hard drive to a store and purchase a replacement.
If it's still under warranty HP should replace it for free.
Hope this helps!
You have a number of options for this:
1) Windows has a Root Administrator account that you can access via Safe Mode (depending on your version of Windows). To access Safe Mode you hit F8 repeatedly on startup and the option should come up ... and provide said login. Once this has been done you should be able to set your local Account Password and reboot.
2) If this is not working you can re-image the PC via the Recovery Disc / Partition -- THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA so do so only if absolutely necessary.
3) (Preferred) Download a copy of Hiren's Boot CD. Burn it onto a CD and boot off of it. There is an option for an offline password wipe (v15 I believe it is the 4th one down) and run it. This will start a version of Linux specially designed to do this. Follow the prompts. Ensure you choose the correct account and remember everything is text based. Don't be scared! Just follow the instructions.
